Upcoming Events

College Admissions Officers will visit the Career Lab during the year.  You must Pre-Register for these events by signing up in the Career Lab.  The sign up clipboards are located just inside the door in Mrs. Roberts office.  You are welcome to sign up anytime, but Space is limited to 35 students.

Military Recruiters - If you are interested in the military, please sign up in the Career Lab on the Military clipboard.  Once I get a few students, I'll call and the recruiters will come over to visit.

College Placement Test -  Sign up in Career Lab.  

ASVAB - Would you like to take the ASVAB?  Sign up in the Career Lab.  Mrs. Roberts is trying to make arrangements for the military to administer the ASVAB after school or on Saturday morning.  It all depends on how many sign up! See Mrs. Roberts if you have questions.

Polk State College - Go Higher! Get Accepted! - February 18, 2009 from 7:30 am - 2:00 pm.  SIGN UP in Career Lab.  Admissions Counselors will be here to register you for Polk State College PLUS you will have hands-on help with their Scholarship application!  Each year they give away over 600 scholarships to Polk County Students!  YOU CAN BE ONE OF THEM!  Admissions Fees are WAIVED, so you have NOTHING to lose and EVERYTHING to gain!

February 23, 2010 - Edward Waters College - pick up applications from Mrs. Roberts NOW and when the Admissions Counselor arrives, he can meet with you and give you on-the-spot notification of Admissions and Scholarships.

EWC has ROTC program, and popular majors such as:  Biology, Criminal Justice, Business, Computer Info Systems, Elementary Education, Math and Engineering, Music and Fine Arts, Psychology.

March 2, 2010 - 8:00 am - 1:00 pm - Jeannette Grullon with Polk State College Talent Search Program.  She will be pulling her students from class to the Career Lab to speak with them.

Webber International University - March 2, 2010 at 1:00 pm 

Sign up in Career Lab - Webber is located south of Lake Wales in Babson Park, and specializes in Business Education with Majors in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality and Tourism Business Management, Computer Information Systems Management, Management, Marketing, Sports Management, Corporate Communications, Security Management and Pre-Law.
